As Christmas gets closer, Starbucks here in Korea has added a few more items to their Christmas line-up. I had already written about two of the drinks earlier, as well as one of their desserts that was on the special menu.
One of the new drinks that they added to is the Cinnamon Roll Dolce Latte.
The Starbucks location that I visited was the same one as where I had purchased the autumn menu drinks a few months ago.
Things have changed a lot since then. The chairs have all been moved so that there is no customer seating, and drinks are available for take-out only.
I placed the order for the Cinnamon Roll Dolce Latte, and took a look around at some of the merchandise that Starbucks has for sale for the Christmas season.
There were lots of interesting things that they were selling!
They had the yearly Starbucks diary.
The Starbucks seasonal coffee blend.
Some very interesting tumblers.
And even more interesting drinking vessels.
After the drink was ready, I went back to my car to enjoy it, as it was cold and there was no place to sit outside nearby the Starbucks.
Sadly, the whipped cream and espresso drizzle that the barista had put on top of the drink had all melted in to the coffee by the time I got to the car.
The drink itself was very good! It had a very strong taste of cinnamon and was quite sweet because the whipped cream had melted into the drink. The espresso drizzle added a stronger flavor of coffee to the drink, much more so than many of the other Starbucks holiday drinks.
Now, if you don’t love cinnamon, then this drink will definitely not be for you. Also, if you are expecting a buttery flavor (as many cinnamon rolls often have wonderfully delicious melted butter in the recipe) then also you won’t find it here.
However, if you love cinnamon, then the Starbucks Cinnamon Roll Dolce Latte is definitely a holiday treat for you!
