A Sour Snack – Juicy Drop Gummies Raspberry Flavor

While picking up some groceries at a local store, I was waiting to checkout and my eyes were drawn to the candy and snack section near the checkout. I saw something that I had been interested in for a while in trying. It was the Juicy Drop Gummies Raspberry Flavor.

If you are not familiar with Juicy Drop Gummies, they are available in many different places around the world.

The candy contains some sour jelly candies, as well as a container of sour gel to put into the gummy candy.

After taking a look at the package, I opened it up. The gummy candy and the sour gel are housed in two different parts of the package, which I thought was quite inventive.

After taking a look at the different parts, I put the gummy candies out onto a plate.

It was at this point that I noticed that there were only 11 gummy candies in the whole package! This was a real shock for me, as the product cost over $3 US.

The sour gel comes in a really nifty applicator and looks just like a ball point pen.

I carefully arranged the gummy candies on the plate, and then proceeded to fill them in with sour gel.

Finally, it was taste testing time! I actually really liked this candy! The gummy candies were soft and fresh, and the sour gel added a nice puckery taste to the snack. It was even fun to apply the sour gel using the pen applicator!

However, I would not buy this snack again. There are a few reasons. First, here in Korea, it is too expensive, or at least it was at the local grocery store.

Second, the amount of plastic and packaging for 11 little gummy candies is far too much. The sour gel pen, while extremely cool, is 100% plastic. This snack is definitely not environmentally friendly.

This is a shame for me actually. The taste was really good, but it’s just not the best way to package such a small amount of product.
